The Course
Westmount Golf & Country Club is one of Canada’s premier golf facilities, consistently ranking in the top 15 over the last several years. Designed by renowned golf course architect, Stanley Thompson, Westmount boasts a beautifully maintained, championship level 18-hole golf course complete with a fully stocked and operational pro shop, electric golf carts, caddies and a friendly, professional staff.
Westmount has been home to many prestigious golf events, including the Canadian Open Golf Championship in 1957, the Canadian Ladies Open and Closed Championship in 1965, Canadian Amateur Golf Championship in 1969, the 1978 C.P.G.A. Championship, Labatt's International Golf Classic for the C.P.G.A. in 1981, and the L.P.G.A. du Maurier Classic in 1990, the 1991 Canadian Women’s Open and the 2009 Canadian Junior Boys Championship.
Westmount has produced golf champions at the provincial, national and international level, including Gary Cowan, Mary Gay, Dan Maue, Colin Moskal, and Judy Ellis.
